ABOUT US
Our Association unites over 700 enterprises of Uzbekistan engaged in slaughtering of livestock, processing rawstock, producing footwear, leather goods, components and accessories, chemicals for the footwear and leather industries and other products. The Association helps its enterprises and entrepreneurs who want to develop their business in the leather and footwear industry in the development of business ideas in connection with demand, raw materials and production potential.
MAIN GOALS AND OBJECTIVES OF THE ASSOCIATION
- develop intra-industry cooperation, that is, connect various links of industry with each other;
- carry out on a systematic basis marketing research of domestic and foreign markets in the segments of leather and footwear, fur products and wool products;
- provide support in expanding the export potential of industries, the large-scale implementation of modern methods of processing raw materials and producing finished products using the latest innovative developments in modeling and branding, as well as advanced information technologies and automated control systems;
- promote the development and implementation of new investment projects;
- help in the integration of science, education and production.
- represent the interests of business before the state;
- help in increasing the geography of exports.
OUR PARTNERS
We cooperate with the International Council of Tanners, the International Fur Federation, national associations and councils of tanners in a number of countries, such as Turkey, Italy, Russia, and leading industry exhibitions around the world.
OUR ACHIEVEMENTS
In 2023, enterprises of Uzbekistan produced 246.4 million pairs of shoes, 2.472 million sq. dm. of leather and 153.7 billion soums of leather goods totaling more than 1 billion US dollars. Today, leather and footwear products under the “Made in Uzbekistan” brand are supplied to more than 45 countries, including Kazakhstan, Turkey, Russia, Portugal, China, UAE, USA, Brazil and others.
