KIOSH 2018 - Current Trends and Innovations in Labor Protection and Industrial Safety
From April 26 to 27 of the current year, Astana hosted the 8th Kazakhstan International Conference and Exhibition on Labor Protection and Industrial Safety - KIOSH 2018.
Traditionally, the event is timed to the World Day of Labor Protection - April 28.
Madina Abylkasymova, Minister of Labor and Social Protection of Population of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and First Deputy Chairman of Federation of Trade Unions of the Republic of Kazakhstan Birzhan Nurymbetov, Member of Presidium, Chairman of Committee for Social Sphere and Social Partnership of Presidium of National Chamber of Entrepreneurs of the Republic of Kazakhstan "Atameken" Talgat Doskenov took part in official opening ceremony, Deputy head of Rostrud, Vice-president of International Association of Labor Protection (IALP) Ivan Shklovets, Deputy director LLP “Allies Industrial” Bakhtiyar Musayev, Deputy director of «Global» group of companies Shabayev Denis, Sales Director of LLC «Iteca» Boris Danilenko.
In her greeting, Minister of Labor and Social Protection of Population of the Republic of Kazakhstan Madina Abylkasymova noted that this exhibition is of great importance in the field of labor safety and preservation of employees' health, allowing to demonstrate the latest innovations and developments.
During the exhibition, traditionally, a wide range of individual and collective protective equipment was presented, overalls, textiles and accessories for overalls, special footwear, gas analyzers, respirators, helmets, goggles, gloves, measuring and monitoring devices, PPE from falling from height, preventive nutrition and much more.
In 2018, 40 companies participated in the exposition, 21 of which took part in the exhibition for the first time. Geography of participants was covered by such countries as Kazakhstan, China, Russia and Turkey, the total number of unique visitors on the results of four exhibitions (KIOSH, Power, NDT, MachExpo) for 2 days was 1771 people.
During the exhibition, visitors were waited by a diverse business program, which included round tables, master classes, prizes from participating companies and training for industry specialists.
Also, according to tradition, in parallel with the exhibition, international conference on labor protection and industrial safety "KIOSH 2018" was held on the topic "The Future of Labor and Protection and Industrial Safety: Digitalization and Technology", which was attended by 65 speakers and about 400 delegates.
Speakers at the conference included representatives of Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Ministry of Investment and Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan, International Association of Labor Protection (IALP, Russia), National Chamber of Entrepreneurs of the Republic of Kazakhstan "Atameken", Association "KAZENERGY" of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Federation of Trade Unions of the Republic of Kazakhstan, International Labor Organization in the Republic of Kazakhstan (ILO), Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of Turkey, World Health Organization (WHO) and others.
During two-day conference, topical issues were raised that touched upon integrated provision of safety and labor protection at workplaces.
For example, speakers in their speeches raised the relevance of implementation of integrated solutions, discussed effectiveness of the use of information technology in labor inspection. In addition, issues of introduction of digital technologies were touched upon. In turn, colleagues from Russia and Romania shared their professional experience in the field of labor protection and workers' health, and also talked about how to reduce the number of injuries during high-altitude work.
On the second day of the round table was held for participants, dedicated to the topic: "Protection from cold. Modern Effective Solutions and Ways to Implement them at the Enterprise ", in which speakers could discuss a number of issues relating directly to requirements for insulated clothing, innovations in development of modern materials for tailoring of overalls, as well as methods of its storage and care.
Also, the round table was held on the topic "Provision of industrial safety at hazardous production facilities in the Republic of Kazakhstan" and a number of other events.
