INDUSTRY EXPERTS WILL DISCUSS FUTURE OF WORK AT KIOSH 2019
9th Kazakhstan International Occupational Safety and Health Conference and Exhibition - KIOSH 2019 will be held from May 22 to May 24, 2019 in the capital of Kazakhstan, city of Nur-Sultan at the Exhibition center "Korme".
KIOSH is a centralized and efficient dialogue platform where solutions to issues in the area of occupational health and safety are discussed between government and business heads in G2B and B2B formats.
At KIOSH conference, exhibitors will consider such topical issues of industry as the introduction of digital technologies for occupational health and safety in industries (hereinafter – Occupational Safety and Health), new systems of personal and collective protection means (hereinafter – PPE) as well as state and internal control.
Within two days of KIOSH Conference, occupational safety specialists will have opportunity to participate in plenary session, round tables and thematic sessions from sectoral ministries and departments, associations, industrial enterprises and leading PPE companies.
On May 23, at the plenary session of the Conference, speakers will discuss challenges in industrial enterprises and workplaces, ways to solve them and introduction of international best practices. The conference is expected to be opened by government representatives:
• Berdibek Saparbayev, Minister of Labor and Social Protection of Population of the Republic of Kazakhstan,
• Gulshara Abdykalykova, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan,
• Amaniyaz Yerzhanov, Vice-Minister of Industry and Infrastructure Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Today, corporate social responsibility is the basis and one of the framework conditions for the country's sustainable development. Safety management systems and advance developments will be discussed at the session “Implementation of effective systems to prevent and reduce injuries and accidents at workplaces: Preventive measures”. Key speakers will be representatives of the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of Population of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Eurasian Group (ERG), "Vist Group" JSC, Ernst & Yong Kazakhstan, EVERYCO Central Asia and "Aktiv-Bezopasnost" LLP, etc.
Currently, the digital transformation of enterprises is a priority. In this regard, special attention at the Conference is devoted to the introduction and use of information and digital technologies in the area of occupational health and safety in Kazakhstan. Representatives of "Allies Industrial" LLP, "3M Russia" JSC, "FPG ENERGOKONTRAKT" JSC, "Fabrika Netkanykh Materialov "Ves Mir" LLC, "Tekhnoavia Kazakhstan" LLP, "KVAZAR" LLC, etc. will share their experience at the digitalization session.
The first session of Conference will be completed with a scientific session on "Safety Management Systems Based on Occupational Risk Management". The session will be moderated by Serikkali Bisakayev, General Director of Republican State Enterprise "Republican Scientific and Research Institute for Labor Protection of the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of Population of the Republic of Kazakhstan" Doctor of Engineering, Academician, Professor.
During the second day of the Conference, on May 24, experts will discuss issues of state and internal control over compliance with legislation in the area of occupational safety and health. Representatives of State Inspectorate of the Republic of Kazakhstan, a representative of Committee for Legal Statistics and Special Accounts of the Republic of Kazakhstan, as well as industrial enterprises will take part in the session.
Experts of Mining and Metals Sector together with Industrial Development and Industrial Safety Committee of Ministry of Industry and Infrastructure Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Association of Mining and Metallurgical Enterprises of the Republic of Kazakhstan (AMME) intend to pay special attention to the “Safety at MMS Enterprises”. During the round table, speakers and delegates will discuss practice of companies for ensuring safe working conditions, assessing occupational risks, providing organizations with PPE, as well as domestic safety requirements with international standards.
On May 24, EVERYCO Central Asia Kazakhstan will hold a round table discussion on the development of safety culture and the introduction of world concept of Vision Zero.
In parallel with the Conference, from May 22 to 24, KIOSH 2019 exhibition will be held at the Exhibition center "Korme". 40 companies from Kazakhstan, China, Russia and Turkey have already confirmed their participation in the exhibition.
KIOSH 2019 will present manufacturers and suppliers of personal and collective protection equipment, textiles, equipment, products for rehabilitation and prevention, large industrial enterprises, training companies and centers for sharing experience and knowledge, discussing topical issues and demonstrating recent achievements in the area of occupational safety and health.
